Hi !

I living in Hungary
I sorry the say, but how this game was made ???
it is not possible to play with this game .
My problem :

I starting various difficulty settings, every level ,on all grades other and other battle a result was calculated !!
Level Colonel -> I loosing 5 units of tanks ,
Level Field Marshall -> I loosing 1 units of tanks in the same battle beside conditions just like that

* I attack riders with tanks ,and I lose 5 units, my team's half, for the rider unit cause 1 loss ? What's that ?
* The crosshair grants bad data, writes that 1 will be own loss ,however 7 of my units fall away in this direction for the 10 ??
* Starting mission of Barbarossa, so many airforces are at the Russians' disposal two times in the first mission of an offensive than the Germans. When?? It's really ??? This mission german force too weak ,however in this war the Barbarossa mission military number more than 2 million german soldiers.
* Mission Hungary : "Lake Balaton" so many tanks are at the Russians' disposal in the area in a mission as much was never there according to the history. Historically : The Germans forces reached the stage the airport of "BudaÖrs" where they were annulled in the reality because Russian enclosure threatened the aggressors .In this game : It is not possible to reach the stage even of "Székesfehérvár" because tanks come from all sides in the game. When ?? How ?? Who creating this ??

I'm sorry, that this is needed let me write it,because of this registering in here, that let me write it down. This game does not get into his trace playability wise Panzer General 2 and for 3 , I started the 10 missions cca.,and I got bored of these awkwardnesses . From the machine my big grief down I will delete it.

my largest problem after all it,that simply unplayable this game, he shows a result differing entirely many times because he calculates the battles at random. And this on normal ground without burying units to be understood.
Do the riders destroy the tanks? After all how? It is cut off with the sword the tank tower and the tank explodes ?   This , this so much astonishing how hurts. When suicidal battle shows i'm on my way, then I come out victoriously. Would be good if real values would be showed in the crosshair

Greetings :
Balázs From Hungary

Sounds like the random numbers messed things up with you. The prediction (crosshair) can be off by 100%. Many people like it that way.

If you don´t like the randomness, you should try Advanced Options, Combat Random: Limited (Dice Chess), which makes the prediction pretty accurate or Chess, which makes it exact. Of course, this also works against you.

The numbers of enemy forces, especially on the eastern front, are not the least bit historical. They are to provide for an enjoyable and challenging game.

Just try a loweer difficulty level while you are learning to play the game. It is worth it, give yourself some time. In the end, it is far better than any Panzer General,

I can at least comment on this. It is a common historical mistake of people who know about the German propaganda of "Polish cavalry charging tanks with lances". That is a missconception. Cavalry at this point only used their horses for transportation. They fought dismounted. Polish cavalry were excellent forces and could be quite deadly to German tanks. The German tanks used in Poland were not very heavily armored. most were meant merely to protect against normal caliber machine guns. Polish cavalry had a very effective anti-tank rifle however that caused a lot of losses on the German tanks.

So it is actually pretty accurate that attacking them head on without artillery support will cause you some losses. Even more so if you use very light tanks for this or even attack the infantry in close terrain (woods, cities etc).

That's true for the most part, but there was a large cavalry charge (sabers and all) by the Italians on Soviet infantry and mortar positions in August 1942! Some sources say it was the last major cavalry charge in history, but naturally that's disputed.

In such a situation that would even make some sense since the mortar troops would have a hard time hitting the guys initially. But machine gun nests would be a problem. If those weren't present.. could work. but no cavalry commander in his right mind would ever charge tanks. That was just German propaganda.

Also, use the Sargent difficulty until you learn how to play the game.

Better than any Panzer General? I think the first Panzer General was the best of all, given the fact that it introduced the whole concept altogether. At least it was a creative idea at this time, obviously been worth copying

Panzer Corps does a nice job in many parts, but in other parts, well, it's a matter of taste. So I'm skeptical with statements which seem to amount to "Give it some time and you'll love it".

As to the historical content of it, there are indeed weaknesses. And they do not have to be connected to making things enjoyable. For example, once I played the first scenario of the normal campaign. If I remember correctly, as a player of the German units, I had to conquer cities - but when taking a look at a historical map I saw those cities belonged to Germany already. So what is the purpose of such a map, and what is the research it is based upon?

Though you can still say it's all about joy and challenge, I wonder how much you could strain this concept without making people skeptical.

Well that first map has been corrected. it is now geographically correct for the most part. Even though this "battle for poznan" was simply border guards slowly advancing into that area from what I know. No panzer divisions ever fought there.
