Hello all,

The latest update for SPM is now available. Just like all the updates we have been releasing since v. 0.7.9, the new update is available for you to download directly from the Matrix FTP: ftp://beta.matrixgames.com . When prompted, please specify the following username and password: SPMBetaTester/SpmBeta1114. I strongly recommend you to download the file using filezilla.

Inside the FTP you will find an installer file named SPM-Windows-Slitherine-0-7-14.exe, just download it and run it. Notice that you need to have your installation updated to at least SPM v. 0.7.8 first in order for it to work properly. If you didn't install any update from 0.7.9 onwards, don't worry, since 0.7.14 is a comprehensive patch and already includes all those changes, but please make sure you have updated to 0.7.8 first.

For those who prefer to install the update manually, we are also uploading a rar file in the FTP named SPM-Windows-Slitherine-0-7-14.rar. Just download it and overwrite your current installation with its contents, but please notice that you need to have your installation updated at least to SPM 0.7.8 first in order for it to work properly. Please refer to this link which features a step-by-step guide on how to perform the patching process.

This update includes bugfixes, gameplay adjustments and an implementation of the new 'reliability transfer' game mechanic. You can see the full changelog here.

I had repeated failures while trying to download the rar file (page doesn't exist and then the site repeatedly asking me to log in).

On the other hand, I had no problem dowloading the exe file, started downloadign on the first attempt. I also see that the exe file is much larger than the rar file (600 mega vs 243 mega), while in previous pacth cases both exe and rar files were roughly similar sized.

So, are you sur ethe entire rar file got properly uploaded to the ftp?

Yep works now well. But the size is larger than 243 mega

I clicked on the link to the downloads page, but it doesn't list 0.7.14 anywhere. The most recent version, at least for me, is still 0.7.13... am I missing something?

It should definitely be there. If you cannot see it, try installing filezilla.

See if you're not accidentally including any unwanted whitespaces during the copy-paste process.
