A French "FireStorm"

Finally had some success (French 1812) against the smarmy swarmy Austro-Russ army with the following:

1st: Guard Division...competent
-AD Guard Light Inf (small) + arty
-AV infantry (optional)(small)
-SD Guard artillery (small)

2nd:...competent
-AD Light Inf (small) + arty
-AD Light Inf (small) + arty

-AC Line Inf (small)
-AD artillery (small)
-AD Light Cav (small)

3rd:...competent
-AD Light Inf (small) + arty
-AV Line Inf (small) + arty
-AC Line Inf (small)
-AC Line Inf (small)
-AD artillery (small)

4th:...competent
-AD Light Cav (small) + arty
-AD Light Cav (small) + arty

-extra unit if initiative 3+: AD Light Lancers (small)
Corps = exceptional + charismatic
920pts

Every unit facing the enemy put out 6 dice (and 4 if enemy cavalry were within 6MU).

Tweaked a bit for next time. Reduced the Guards division to ave drilled units (not French) and got back my artillery officers!! :twisted:

I tried a saxon version of it . interesting 6 dice to shoot :-)

Just had to remember that light infantry is not skirmish infantry and so I got 5 dice shooting as light infantry + 1 for the artillery attachment .

Very interesting
