Wonderful!

Hi all!
I just wanted to say 'hello' to fellow players and thank everyone involved in creating this wonderful game!
My first experience of wargaming was on my Spectrum 48k: a little known classic called Arnhem by R.T. Smith (followed by Desert Rats and Vulcan). Does anyone remember those games?
Years later came Panzer General; I was working in Istanbul and bought it 'blind' while holidaying in England. I didn't own a computer, but had one in the office (though the darn game wouldn't load so our DP Manager had to get an IBM tech guy in to install it). Many absorbing evenings and Saturdays were spent playing it.
Since then, I haven't really come across anything with quite the same 'pull'. The very early Command & Conquer games were fun, as were Age of Empires, but Panzer General was different; even decisive victories made me want to return and play scenarios over again.
And now here's Panzer Corps - seventh heaven!
I'm only on the introductory scenarios but already I see several convenient improvements over PG - that's great - but what I'm most impressed with is how it's stayed true to the concept. It would be so easy to make elaborate changes; to 'improve things' and in doing so lose sight of the core game. Well done for resisting that!
I see it's also possible to PBEM - fantastic - I was never especially good at PG, and may need a little time to learn this beauty, but I hope I get a chance to play!
Cheers!
Athelstan
