yes the long wait is over and it is finally here! Its taken a lot of time and effort but we think we have created something really special with Panzer Corps on iPad. We're hoping it attracts a whole new audience for these type of games.

We are currently at #1 in the UI board game charts and top 50 in all apps and that's less than a day in to the release! US has just released and we jumped to #3 in board games almost instantly and we hope we can stay up there for a while with your support.

Congratulations on this! If Battle Academy made a lot of sales "this will outsale" it for those major war gamers! Was proud to be a beta tester and will buy everything Christmas Day!

Depends on what you mean by retina support. The game already makes use of Retina's high DPI which allows to zoom out and still get crisp and detailed units. On my iPad with retina display I always play fully zoomed out - in this mode I see more map than on my 24 inch desktop monitor, and it is still very playable.

However, there are no plans to redo all graphics in 2x resolution.

I play on max zoom in because on my Ipad3 if I zoom out units are to small.
When I zoom in the graphics are blurry. also all panel on right is also blurry. That is why I asked about full retina support.

I hope you will add this. that would be awesome.

the game has full retina support but if you zoom in close enough then the artwork has to scale up. To redo all the art at a resolution where you did not get any scaling on the enormous retina display of 2048x1536 isn't possible. The iPad simply doesn't have enough memory to do that with the hundreds of units and map tiles in the game. If you want this much content you need to limit the size of the images and we always put game play in first place.

Can the music be turned off?

True. i would like to turn the music off.

Are the save games compatible between the iPad and PC? I don't mind having to manually copy them over (unless there's a better alternative of course), but just would like to know if they will work. Thanks.

In theory they are compatible, but there currently isn't any way to transfer them simply. It does seem to be something people are asking about, so we will put it on the wishlist

I have downloaded the Allied Corps stand alone and am having difficulty identifying Allied and Axis forces. The unit strength box under a unit is either green or black but on the iPad the strength number (white) font size is so big that it dominates the strength box under the unit such that it masks out the the black or green Allied/Axis colour. This loss off clarity means you can not easily determine which unit is on which side by just looking at the battlefield.

I agree with this, throughout the whole game, in fact; the background colors of the Axis vs. Allied badges are too similar to be easily distinguished. Too often I have to look two or even three times at a unit before I feel certain of which side it belongs to. Making the colors a little more distinct from each other would be a much appreciated thing to see in a patch.

Tremendous port! Plays as good as on my Mac in Bootcamp PC mode. Agree with the need to transfer saved games. But please, let me be able to turn off the music!

How about supportiing Android?
