Camping the best strategy in in Panzer Corps Multiplayer?

I like Panzer Corps for the most part, but the problem I have with the Mutiplayer is that being aggressive totally fails in this game. It seems to me the way this game is structured, you are better off sitting back and not capturing an objective. Instead, let opponent take it, and then pound them with arty and aircraft and whatever else you got. The game does not give you much leeway for outflanking a position like a game like Unity of Command does. It is all about static defense.

You should check out my multiplayer scenarios then. The large map size then allows one to apply offensive or defensive doctrine. Because of the width of the map it is not possible, however, to defend all across it - one is forced to select defensive points carefully. However, if one is too defensive then one can be flanked and attacked at defensive weakpoints on multiple fronts by an enemy assault of concentrated force. Being defensive and ceding large parts of the map also allows the enemy to capture valuable prestige hexes.

The map you play on may have some influence, but multiplayer maps usually have set objectives instead of "wipe out the enemy". Cautious defense is rarely a way to achieve the map objectives. Instead, you should scout for information, try to lure the enemy to places you want him to be and strike where he doesn't expect you to go. A good opponent will surprise you by their offensive play. The more flags you capture, the more prestige you get and after a while that's all you may need to tilt the balance to your advantage.

Where are your MP scenarios? I don't see any in the Panzer Corps: Scenario Design/Custom Mutiplayer Scenarios thread. It is also an universal question: why don't let shown MP scn makers their maps in this thread? (It's just a question, not a critic.)

I haven't officially released them to the general public yet as I want to play through them at least once against a human opponent before I sign off on them.

Sure that's a logical point.
I'm not yet want to play MP's but I plan to play in the future when I finished the GC's and my Hungarian Zrínyi campaign. I'm really curious how good I am: some people say that I'm very good because I play the game in high difficulty level but my opinion is that I'm just patient one whoo play the hard scenarios over and over until I get the victory. :)
Maybe if there could be a little ask than I would ask you to look for historical availability and rarity of the units and do not put such types on the field which were not yet available, or not in masse which were in reality rare ones.
(The vanilla equipment file is not a valid source but if you want I can send you a modified one which has all the possible availability dates and ends for the certain units - but only for the east front).

My scenarios are thoroughly researched so as to be highly authentic, not just in terms of units used but also organisational structure (although they don't simulate actual battles in terms of maps and whatnot). Check out my scenarios thread if you want to see - things get more authentic as the thread progresses (cap doff to ThvN for his historical input)!

Here's the latest page. The thread contains my work in progress on the scenarios. When I make the scenarios available for general release I'll put the key details in a separate thread(s).
