Oil Units

In Afrikakorps, I have seen a few pumping station or "oil" units. Do these units have any effect on prestige or any other effect on gameplay? Need to know for my global mod.

Not entirely sure, but I think just placing them somewhere has no effect beyond them being there (IIRC in AK you have to protect them as victory condition). One could think out some triggers maybe to give them certain effects ...

I was hoping there would be none of these such triggers or the Dutch East Indies and Russia may be supplying too much cash to the Allies - in 1939 when they are meant to be getting stomped.

No effect on prestige what so ever.
