Axis Campaign: Legacy of Versailles Ultimate
Player: Germany


Legacy of Versailles vanilla is only the prelude of things to come. The goal has always been the creation of the Ultimate version. The Ultimate version is not merely a copy of the vanilla version with custom units and interface.
During the coming months of the development of the first LoV-Ultimate-DLC (to avoid to keep you waiting for another year), i hope i will manage to entertain you with some screenshots and updates on our progress.

As teaser, and because i am from Belgium, the Belgian planes for LoV - Ultimate

Today is officially the first day i began working on this version. Three brandnew maps have been made but i must wait for the custom units to turn these into scenarios.

It all looks familiar as with LoV-vanilla. The map making phase. Some maps are lacking for DLC 1 of LoV - Ultimate.

Hopefully the first Ultimate DLC in spring 2014 but no promises. I need to test a lot of new editor stuff, build an e-file, create several new maps and scenarios and then it goes to the betatesters.
The first DLC will be the period 1935-1939.

First scenario names revealed...

1) Graduation day from the German academy (rank: Oberfähnrich)
2) Saarland 1935
3) Reoccupation of the Rhineland 1936

Rank: Oberfähnrich
Number of core units: 1 (Befehlspanzer PzII A - unpurchaseable but upgradeable by ingame script after the next promotion)
Number of auxiliary units: 2-4
Number of SE units: 0

For Christmas, a special preview.

The rank system introduced in LoV-vanilla will be expanded. With each rank, you will learn how many units you can have under your command and will not change until the next promotion. The extra promotion missions will largely remain.
The player receives the so called "Befehlspanzer" from scenario 1; or simply put, it is your personal command vehicle in the game. Scenario 1 is your final exam at the German panzer academy.
With each promotion you get the chance to upgrade your command vehicle by placing it on a special marker. The command vehicle is not a necessary unit to win or lose missions, but i thought it would be a nice extra for the campaign, and this unit comes with some improved values.

I made a short video (no sound) about some new features for the mod. Some things you will see is still in "vanilla" while some other things are "ultimate" ready. When the extra tiles are done,
i hope to show the same test, with more "ultimate" stuff.
You can either watch it on youtube or download the video from sendspace (63Mb in zip) to watch it in a more decent screen modus.
This will be the first scenario of the mod. The first scenario is your graduation day at the panzer school of Putlos in 1935. The SdKfz 601 is only present in this scenario as a fun element!
