If the console window is open when I end my multi-player turn or quit from a game, the console window remains open when I go back to the multi-player menu. There is then no way to close the console window or to get to the current games tab. Going back to the initial screen still leaves console open so exiting game is the only way to close it.

The console window should either close when the game closes or else provide a way to close it when at the multi-player menu or the initial menu.
