Hello all,

I just got an e-mail from Matrix stating that the latest update for SPM has gone live, so feel free to grab it using the autoupdate tool. Alternatively, you can download it from this link and install it manually. It's a heavy download, since I had to rebuild all the mission animations bundles in order to fix a compatibility issue reported at the forums.

The latest patch includes bugfixes and some new functionality, such as being able to dismiss employees. You can find the full changelog here.

Wow. Wasn't expecting this until monday. Credit to you guys for getting it out today despite thanksgiving!

Awesome! Fortunately, I wasn't finished with the recordings for this weekend, so I was able to play 0.7.7 in one of the upcoming episodes
However, after upgrading to 0.7.7 I've received the information, that "Short Duration Lunar Expeditions" are availabe, but I couldn't find this category.

I have downloaded spm v 0.7.7 and keep getting an error message when extracting the file.
error message is ' can not open file'
Do I need v0.7.7, can I skip to v.7.8?

Welcome to the forums! The updates are comprehensive, so you can safely skip to 0.7.8. SPM v. 0.7.8 is the last update you can get through the autoupdater tool. From SPM v 0.7.9 onwards, patches need to be applied manually. These later patches are also comprehensive, but they only work when applied to an installation upgraded at least to v. 0.7.8.

To sum it up:
1) Upgrade to SPM v. 0.7.8 using the autoupdater tool.
2) Manually apply the patch for the latest version of SPM (currently v. 0.7.10).
3) Later patches (e.g., v 0.7.11) can be installed on top of your existing installation.
4) It's fine if you leave for a while, skip a few updates, and then come back. Just grab the latest patch and apply it to your installation.

I am having the same problem with SPM v.0.7.8

every time I use the auto adapter I get a error message at qne second,

If you're having problems with the autoupdater, please use this link and install 0.7.8 manually.

that's what I am saying I have tried loading it manually and get the same message as when I tried to load SPM v,0,7. manualy
No matter if I load it manually or automaticly Iget an error message.
My computer is windows 8 could that be the problem/

Can you give me more info? Which error message are you getting? Are you saying you cannot even download the file using your browser without getting an error?

when I try to manually download SPM v.0,7.7 or 0.7.8 from the links at this forum I get an error message can not open file.
I had no problem with previous versions

I mean I get that message when I try to open or exstract the file.

OK, let's step back and sort out the basics first. You don't need to download 0.7.7, since 0.7.8 already contains those changes.

Try downloading 0.7.8 from this link first and install it over a fresh SPM installation. I've just tested it and it works fine.

Once you've done that, download the latest manual patch (see here) and install it.

I have tried what you have suggested and it didn,t work I keep getting the same message.
I even reinstalled all the updates.
