Quick question from a BARIS player - does this game:
1) Feature a competitive "race to the moon" mode of the soviet and us space programs?
2) Can one play as any other agency than NASA (soviet or chinese space programs?)

Currently not but we are evaluating the feedback we have as a lot of players would like these features so we are seeing what the options are.

We hope to have a decision on this soon.

Where are you evaluating it? I would like to cast my vote for a competitive BARIS-like mode. The sandbox could stay as it is now (just trying to make prestige points & meet budget) and the campaign could be competitive. First one to complete their space station on Mars wins!

Hello nascgi,

We don't have an open poll, we just read all the comments from the forums and take notes so that we can discuss them during my visits to Slitherine's headquarters in Epsom, which happen roughly every three weeks.

We'll keep you guys posted. Stay tuned!

Cheers,

So, some more question:

1) How are orbital stations dealt with? Are 70s and 80s era space station programs possible for the plyer (something along the lines of Salyut or MIR?). Does the game simulate something like the international space station wher ethe player has to coordinate efforts with other agencies?
2) How does politics fit into the game?
