DAG question

just got hold of STORM OF ARROWS. i was looking at an army WAR OF THE ROSES (TUDOR) and was wandering what PD or S against some troop types mean? also ive worked out you can tick them but again what dose this mean? ive looked for an explanation using the help that comes with the game but cant find it(must be looking in the wrong section

PD stands for "portable device" i.e. your archers will have stakes if you click this option. Note that if you click for one archer unit then all archer units will have stakes costing an extra point each.

S stands for the option to dismount these troops at the very start of battle in the deployment phase.

Dismount OR deploy as an alternative troop type in some armies. I know alexandrian phalangites have the option to deploy as light spearmen for example.

PD is actually Portable Defenses, not devices. They count as fortifications against mounted troops but not against foot.
