Please add the ability to rename units in the workshop after we upgrade them. Even if it's just the ability to add a hyphenated extension to the existing name.
I have a set of troops with guns and a set with flamethrower, but I would like to be able to rename the units so that I can tell them apart other than the very tiny icon for the weapon.

I think you can do this. Pretty sure I've done it in game, actually. Try clicking on the unit's name in the lower right hand side of the screen.

You can rename unit designs, unit names, city names, etc. Whenever a name has a small icon resembling a pen next to it, it can be clicked and then edited. For example, in workshop, select a unit design and click on the name (at the top-right, not in the list) to edit it. Or in the city screen, click on the city's name to edit it, and so on.

Nice! Thanks, I was wondering about this as well.

I would be cool if the names changed automatically when you refit something into a different type though. Maybe it could be set to keep the name if it was changed after creation, so you can track specific units, if you like.
