Hy,

I know it has been discussed but cannot find it back .

If a cavalry unit charges a wavering ennemy unit but the chargers are stopped by another unit's fire while going in . I seem to remember that the wavering target does not have to test as the charge is stopped . But damn I cannot find it back so do not know if I am right or wrong .

This is one for Terry to cover off in hopefully forthcoming amendments.
- along with (IMO) clarifying rules for:

(a) shooting at chargers who cross a unit's short range arc;
(b) fortifications;
(c) cavalry fighting in terrain.

On the last one, perhaps the simplest solution might be that cavalry may not charge (or pursue) into difficult terrain, while skirmishers only have a compulsory evade if they are in the open.

Cheers
Brett

I think that your wavering unit would still have to test for being charged initially. If I remember correctly only a successful intercept cancels a charge and all charge responses.

They may have been stopped short from shooting but they were still coming at your boys who would react accordingly. A successful intercept means the enemy cavalry is now tied up with a different target much to the wavering boys relief.
