Mac Intel HD4000 - low quality water

Hi,

I installed BA on my Macbook Air 13" 2012 - i7 2.0 GHz, 8 GB RAM, Intel HD4000 graphics - and noticed that water does not have that nice, reflective texture as on my 5 year old HP laptop that is running a comparatively vastly subpar Radeon 3650HD graphics. The water is now a simple, light-blue texture and is, to be quite frank, butt-ugly now.

Is there any way I can force the better texture in the game with my current setup? It would be a bit absurd if not, given that my setup can run games such as Pandora, Batman: Arkham City or Crusader Kings II with full details.

Any tips regarding how to fix this really appreciated, thanks!

Because of the way that BA is written, we use an OGL 1.1 rendering pipeline, which unfortunately doesn't support anything that would let us have the same kind of effect. On the PC we use the Fixed Function Pipeline still (because even today many of our players are on non-shader setups! :) ) but are able to use fixed function bump mapping which, while primitive, allows us to do something!

Cheers

Pip

Ah well, guess I will have to learn to live with it.

I still appreciate the quick response - thanks!
