it should be great if I could see the map and status of the game, "read only", even when I am waiting the turn of my opponent: status of research, diplomacy, position and status of the units, production, etc. it would be easier to think about my strategy and I could wait a little longer for the reply...

Yes it could be a good thing. But If you want to plan on your map you can allways make a screanshots and study them.
