Every time I try to start a new game or load an old game the initializing box shows up briefly before i get a message saying Error: Could not initialize game. then the game jumps back to the main menu. I played the game with no issues yesterday. But today after updating the game has had this problem. Is there a fix for this or do I need to reinstall? I am playing the beta version of the game.

Which version exactly are you running?

Could you please attach all game logs and a dxdiag report?
