[SUPPORT] CRC Error reinstall game

I download the game and when I try and launch it I get a "CRC Error". Anyone know what this is?

Apparently there was a problem during the installation. Please uninstall the game and install it again, that should fix it.

No luck. I have tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it into different directories to no avail. I am using windows 8.1.

you must delete all file´s, it is not enough to uninstall this game. this folder C:\Users\...\AppData\LocalLow\MatrixGames has to be extinguished too. with me the folder appdata is hidden.it must be made visible with the folder options.after you have done it, reinstall the game and it will be running.

Please also make sure that you're login to Windows using an administrator account and not a standard user account.
How to check if you have administrator privileges in Windows 8:

Hello, I wish everyone the best of the Holidays! I have attempted several time to put the 7.10 update in the corect folder and unzip it and it keeps failing, I have the 7.8 installed but I have been up all night since 10pm last night and it is now 11:45 est. , I not sure what I am doing wrong? I f you could please explain why the unzip won't find the excute, I really need that update and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Thank you for a prompt response!

Welcome to the forums! I suggest you unzip the file into a folder somewhere in your desktop and then cut and paste its contents into your SPM installation directory. Notice that Windows should prompt you about files being replaced, otherwise it means you're not pasting the files into the right location.

I'm having the same problem, I need to re-install after hardware upgrades, I can download and install the game ok, but it gives me the 'CRC Error re-install game' when i try to play. I've followed the advice on this thread about re-installing and deleting files but it hasn't helped. It seams to have only downloaded the SPM-Windows Data files.

Hello Dave,
My first advice is that you uninstall the game first. Then download the installer and update to 0.7.8, either via the auto-updater or by manually downloading it using
this link.
Once you have sorted that out and you have checked you are effectively running 0.7.8 (you can do that by reading the small print at the bottom of the screen in the main menu), grab and apply the executable installer for the latest version (currently 0.7.12) from
this link.
Let me know if you're still having issues and we'll sort it out.

Thank you for the info, but as I stated I have all ready tried this solution several times. The game UI doesn't appear in any of the files, nor the BASPM shortcut appear on my desktop as the installer says. All i have in the E:\Matrix Games folder is SPM-Windows_Data (file folder), readme.doc (DOC file), readme (Rich Text Document), SPM-Windows (Application) and Whatsnew (Adobe Acrobat Document). When i access the SPM-Windows there is a tab at the bottom marked Play, using this always gives me the CRC Error.

Just to add to this thread, I recently (today) purchased the early access for BASPM and I am having the same exact issue. I have tried all the suggestions in this thread to no avail. I have also e-mailed the provided support e-mail address. Nevertheless, just wanted to chime in to indicate someone else is indeed having the same problem posted here.

Yes, I bought the game a while ago, but so far I've had exactly the same problems on my Windows 8.1 machine. I've tried all the different suggestions in this thread, but so far to no avail.

Well, I thought I would try again after the release of 7.16.
I am running windows 8.1 and I followed the advice in this thread and I still cannot play the game because of the CRC error.

What was the name of the file with which you have installed the game?
This CRC error is usually caused when the players are attempting to install the game with the update file and not with the original downloaded file installer.
I suggest to uninstall the game and reinstall using the original downloaded file installer. Then you can update it.
