Installation OK.
Updater OK.
Main menu OK, could be more options on game start (eg. for archipelago map, for player to decide on number and size of islands), lack of option to customize one own faction is serious drawback IMO. Also more and diverse portraits would be nice, some of the existing ones look like brothers.
Started huge archipelago on medium difficulty, medium aggression for ind.life, epic turns as Divine Ascension. Was planning to write down 5/30/60 minutes impressions but did not even notice and was already on two and a half hours playing
. Not that I got further from first tech age.
Love the visuals of units and terrain, music is OK. Would be nice if every unit had something to say in different voice but that is just me, I would make chess pieces talk.
Nonexistence of unit retreat from combat is annoying especially for those of us who like to keep their veterans. Also would be nice if units would get some abilities with levels for specialization.
Would be nice to have city governors and generals (asigned to army -> group of units who all benefit from his bonus) like was in old Master of Orion 2.
Overall (for now) game is engaging and attractive. I have not noticed any bugs and it did not lag or crash a single time.
So much so far!
