I was very surprised to get invited to the beta!

Started with these settings:

AI - very easy
World size - Medium
World Shape - Random
World Temp - Temperate
Alien Aggression - Very low
Pace - Standard
Revealed Research tree - none (only what you can research)

Opening is FANTASTIC, really sets the mood for the game.

First 5 mins was easy enough.. lots of tool tips pop ups to get you started without giving too much away.

After about 30 mins I was building units and exploring the world, definitely has that "one more turn" feel to it thus far.

I'm sure I'll have questions once I really dig into it this evening.

I really like the music.. perfect for the game imho.

AI units, you can click on them and even though you can't order them to do anything, I wonder why there are order buttons like guard and what not?

Still on my first play through and I love that there are not only dangerous alien life out there, a couple of the factions want money from me or war. There is a ton of things going on right off the bat and it's really drawn me into its world.
