Download - took hours but no issues
Install - ran with no problem
Updater - ran automaticaly at game start. Option to skip is good because
a) previously saved games are not compatable with the latest version, so if I had a game I
wanted to finish before updating I could do this, or if I wanted to play right away and not wait for the update.
b)If I were running the game while not connected to the internet
Download progres is shown which is good as I know how long it is going to take
First 5 minutes
Choice of options - clear and easy to understand
Choice of faction - clear
Intro - nice space ship graphics
Founding first city and first few moves. Tips very good. Easy to follow and the interface is
clear and understandable
Creating new units in the workshop. OK. Would like to be able to rename a unit type I have created
to be able to distingush it from the one it is a copy of.
Resource management. Very clear tip. easy to work out where I need to move workers to
manage resources.
First half hour.
Has taken me a while to work out how to design and build a coloniser.
First hour.
Engageing. Very strong "just one more move" feeling. Grapics are nice. Workshop is still a bit confusing.
I might stop my first game and start again with a larger map now I know what I am doing.
Overall my reacton is positive from the first game. I might try starting a war wtih
one of the AI players in the next game and see how that goes. The odds screen that
shows you the % chance of a succesfull attack before you attack is nice. Also try a larger
world so more room to expand and build larger armys.
