Question about updates...and thanks!

So first off I just would like to say thanks to the dev team for their hard work on this pretty awesome game! Your dedication to it is definitely commendable! And I really like how you take the time to read the posts that people put up and actually reply to them, obviously as the fan base expands this will become more and more difficult for you but I'm sure we understand that.
My second point is about your dev post regarding updates and the changelog. You've set a release date of 08 Nov 13, which is awesome because I love knowing when to expect new things, however, coming from Kerbal Space Program where the devs never release their new update timings, I was wondering why you do this? Do you set yourself a release date and then whatever has been done up to that point is released with it? And is this going to continue or will it become a release based on goals for that release date? E.g. "We want to have X, Y and Z in this update and we will not be releasing it until they have been successfully implemented". Just curious about your approach to the updates.
Also, on a minor point, how many people are on the dev team that works on this game and are there plans in progress to get more people on board?
Thanks again!
