Hi,

I like the vanilla style of the icons, and I am trying to complete them with the units that are missing or using generic-type icon, and rarely I choose to change an original icon for a new one (built mostly on another game icon, like in case of the M4A3 Sherman tank). The new icons usually need a specific attack animation, I will include all of my work in one download later. You are free to use these icons for your game, I don't ask for any credits, etc. They are based on a real artist's work, my aim is nothing more but to complete it with limited skills.

The USAAF does not have the A-20's in the vanilla game, but there is the RAF Douglas Boston. I have A-20A, B, G and J variants. A-20G uses nose machine guns animation or tactical bomber sound alternatively to attack ground targets: (I like the vanilla german aircraft variant letter on the icon; so I use a similar system for the other air forces as well, letters mostly for the US planes, greek numbers + letters for the UK planes, etc.)

Hello, impressive list! I actually use the same method of rearranging the stock images to preserve the look, but I slowly work on-and-off when I find some time. (a bubble-top P-47D like yours was on my list as well, it looks very nice).

May I pitch in a little icon myself? The worst thing I've made so far, which you can use if you want, is this Panzer 35(t), which I have been using for a long time in the GC's. The 'look' is vanilla but the design initially looks weird among the other Panzers because of the design of the tank, with many small roadwheels and sloping engine deck.

The early armies did not have SMG's, I use the mountain infantry animation for these.

Mostly made from the original units, few from pictures found elsewhere. Some need custom animations (like the Panzerschiff or the Soviet Battleship that only have one front turret... I am unable to create a good looking animation from scratch, and these heavy artillery animations are particularly difficult; for the others it is not very complicated, like the rifle only infantry or planes with big caliber guns, these already are ingame and need just cosmetic change).

The idea behind the different ship icons is that (perhaps I have already described it here, whatever), in my game, I can purchase ships, but I didn't want to have all the different classes of ships occupy the purchase slots in the menu, so I created a separate ship class for all, these are the ships without the flag, and their stats are low, these ships can't move nor fire, they represent the ship that was just launched and is not commissioned for service yet : this can be done by clicking the switch button, which is a irreversable trick that changes the unit into the proper ship class, it can be seen by the risen flag.

I have also used the same chassis picture for the vanilla SdKfz 7/1 and 7/2, which is originally different for unknown reason.

Holy grenade, this is a most impressive vanilla-style icon collection you have there!
Really love your unique ships with the flags and tiny details. The many different plane versions with the proper letter markings and details are well done either, like the rest of your units!
