Quick problem that I am seeing on my tablet when trying to used play the game using only touch: when exiting the "building screens" - like SET Center Information - if I do much of anything while on that screen, eg view assignments, when I exit Back to Space Complex the game crashes back out to the New/Load Game/Preferences/About/Exit screen. Making sure to use the mouse when heading back to the spaceport screen avoids the problem.

Not sure if you intend touch to work perfectly yet, but thought you'd want to squash this at some point at any rate. For the record, this is on a Surface Pro 2 running Windows 8.1. Running the game in various flavors of compat mode didn't change things.

Ah ... and ink is similarly broken - same repro steps.

Update: this is more like a Surface Pro and/or Windows 8.1 issue, as I'm finding that I get the same bad behavior if I'm using the touch pad on the Type Cover 2. Only when I'm using a Bluetooth mouse am I able to get out of those screens successfully.

There is no touch support currently. Win 8 tablets were not planned but if it can be done and there is demand we'll see what we can do.
