so i had the same problem but than i read the first window and does exactly what stand there.
i hope i could explain it in english
there stand that you have to restart the application and you have to push ok. do this and close the starter window. than start the SPM link on your desktop new and it goes.
with me it functioned at least. hope this helps!!!
