Initiative- Random Number Generator Bug?

There seems to be a weird bug in the Initiative die roll. I noticed I was losing an inordinate number of initiative die rolls. Far more than seemed reasonable. I've been paying close attention to my most recent games and I find under the following conditions a, accepting a challenge from an opponent and b, picking up the challenge is the first thing I do after I start multiplayer that I always roll a 3 and my opponent rolls a 6. I can confirm that this has happened for my last 5 games! The odds of this happening by chance are about 1 in 60 million! I expect it has something to do with the pseudo random generator seed...
My guess is that I should probably look to initiate challenges or try playing another game first before picking up new challenges. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this.
Cheers
Ken

I've noticed that I get 3 vs 6 (to my opponents advantage) VERY often...
But since this version is doomed anyway, I don't care.

The bug is completely repeatable (i reckon I have lost virtually every initiative in the DIgital League). I am pretty sure I can lose the initiative every time someone challenges me! But there probably are workarounds and as Voskarp says we are moving onto a completely new version (any dates yet??) so this issue is moot.

I haven't noticed this. I am probably 50/50 when it comes to winning initiative. Most recently a mirror match hussite vs germans and we both won initiative, I accepted both games.
For digital league games I think I issued the vast majority. However I may be wrong with the 50/50 guess. I can not remember if I won or lost initiative in all of my games, I always think I will lose and if I win the maps available are generally not that helpful.
There are still numerous bugs in the game but we have to grin and bear them as nothing will happen. As mentioned V2 will replace V1. Although as V2 is taking a very long time it would have been nice of SLitherine to have erased the bugs as new people are still buying the game.

Yes I agree with Eric I probably win Initiative 50/50 depending on the army I use. I do however go through a patch where I don't win initiative up to 8 turns in a row due to incorrect Points awarded for commanders present. I've had Inspired commanders and got 0 pts for them, so there is a problem with initiative . However there is little point reporting it as there is a new version on its way and the original developer is long gone.......

Very rarely use ICs, unless it is a 600pt + game so haven't seen that.
In the TT game if your CIC is a FC you will receive a +1 on initiative.
Also I think it was 2 seasons back, Sharkall was going to work out some stats on initiative. I believe that season was one of my worst, as in losses and OK prob I may have chosen the wrong army and or played badly BUT I reckon there would be a higher percentage of wins for players who won initiative (that season I won initiative 25 to 30% of the time). Had a quickish look (in EMA this season) at number of wins for armies that were +5, + 10 bps etc larger and the reverse. There wasn't that much of a big difference, ie "horde" armies winning most of their games. However if you have an army that is 10+ bps larger than your opponents and you win initiative, you will most certainly win most of your games, 75% + as a sort of educated guess.
Anyways if there is a bug with reference to initiative then it is something that really needs to be rectified based on above (if you win initiative, you have a better chance of winning the game) but of course nothing is going to happen.
