The upgrades to the foot companians and Hypaspists to MF, How do they fit into the BG count do they count as 2 (if a 12 man pike unit).
So if there is a 13 BG army with 2 12 's of pikes with upgrades paid for does the army become 15, do you then place 4.3.3.3 or 4.4.4.3 .
The latter one could end up 4.4.4.1 if the upgrade is not used

Corrected in the errata for the list. As I recall you can only upgrade 8s, not 12s.

Another question linked to this special case :
When does the change from HF to MF occur :
1°) once all the deployment is done (like dismounting mounted) ?
2°) or directyl when they are deployed ? If so, and assuming they are in the forth quarter, can the player decide only when putting them or is has to decide the army composition before the pre battle initiative is rolled ?

You have to decide HF/MF when you design your army list.
