Amazon deal no more :-(

Kicking myself here as it seems there was a deal going on the rules/army lists at amazon which is no more. I only ordered last night and the rules were £25 and £10 per set of lists. Only thing to do was allow my fit of temper to get hold and cancel the Amazon order. Just my luck.

The prices do not seem to have changed on the US Amazon site, which is where I ordered my books from...

Yeah I noticed that, couple of other places in US too. Just my luck. One of those things that always bugs me when I just miss out on a deal. Tend to deal with by cancelling order in temper :x

Still, at full retail I can hang around now and see what crops up elsewhere between now and Feb. I'd likely have gone for several lists but the costs mount up at full price. Madaxeman.com shows the rules as available for £16.50 but every link I click brings up Amazon at £25. I need to know they are worth it at that price (a number of similarly priced books very much not being IMHO).

It sounds like, even with postage, it would be cheaperfor you to order the rules from the States.

I was happy to buy from America, and I live in Australia.

Might look at that, I might just wait for e-bay or whatever though. When I've tried to order from Amazon US in the past it just refers me to the UK with $1 = £1 exchange rates :(

Good prices but no international shipping it seems. Looks like Amazon may be the best bet, I can get the international shipping up on that, $46 for the two books which isn't bad (and $11 of that is shipping).

£17.50, good deal I think. They only have 2 army books though, and barely cheaper than in Amazon.

Whatever you do, dont order through Slitherine if their empty promise of Beta is a justification. I've been waiting since 7th of November. Now its a month or so from publication and too late to retain customer good will and the exitement of a early gander is tarnished.

I can confirm that there arte no outstanding beta copies from orders to be sent out. So it looks like some sort of foul up. Can you mail me PM and I will try to sort this out

Obviously some sort of foul up. Maybe file size?

I know you Slitherine guys are wonderful people, but one advantage of Amazon is you can also order the new Iain M Banks novel at the same time as the rules and lists, and you should get them all in the same delivery post free !

:-)

http://astore.amazon.co.uk/madaxeman_aow-21 has them all listed together :-)
