First impressions and other musings.

Custom Factions.
I would kill for this feature.
Optimizing for certain play styles or opening gambits would be interesting.

The Population control was a bit fuzzy at first glance, I expected to be able to click on the tiles I want worked.
Drag and Drop is nice, but clicking on tiles would speed things along.

Immigration/Emigration
I'd like more control over this, I found trying to expand with two cities (Colonizer + Colonization Fervor) somewhat crippling.

Unit grouping. Moving 10+ units in a single stack is kinda annoying.

I'll post more as I get a few more hours under my belt. Loving it overall though, definitely a buy for me.

I'm not sure how you would be able to click on tiles when population works specific resources rather than tiles. What would happen if you have 1 person and you click on a tile with 1 mineral and 1 food?

Tiles could have two slots.

Also UI scaling would be very useful since on 2560x1440 the interface is somewhat small.

On another note, I'd like the option to have more than 6 players/AIs on a map, is there a reason why we're limited to that amount?

Noticed this "bug" / WAD?
Chekov's Stand can "claim" the two tiles.

However, I can then only reclaim the left mountain back for Zhukov's Landing.

It's slightly annoying since both tiles were originally claimed by Zhukov's Landing.

  • Area Aid Technology / Device could use a more detailed description as it is unclear how much it helps with the healing and if it stacks or not, etc.
  • Cloning Center should explain in the tooltip that it does not stack with itself (no effect if cast multiple times on the same city).
