Hi all, very new to the forums, indeed it was the purchase of a few Panzer Core titles that brought me here.Hence i stumbled onto this game, been looking for this type of a game for a few years. So for a few questions.

Is there a new version on the horizon,if so when(or is that a six million dollar question)

If i buy the original what would be the best module to get with it.

and finally is single player AI at least half decent,i know it's not brilliant from what i've read so far(nothing could be worse than the TW franchise though, which has been totally wrecked IMO)but is it playable.

Just looking for a greenlight of sorts and i'll buy.Cheers and good gaming

Yes, there is. We are not sure when other than it should be sometime next year.

It depends on your preference for ancient or medieval. If it is ancient I would go for "Immortal Fire" as it is fantastic value; if it is medieval then "Storm of Arrows" is probably the best place to start. "Decline and Fall" covers the period in-between and is also very good value.

The AI is poor and it is best used to learn the game for a couple of weeks. The real strength of the game is in the multi-player system which is superb and there are competitions and free scenario downloads on the forum which have kept players together for a number of years. FOG is a flawed diamond of a game, but most of us are very optimistic about the future now. You will not be wasting your money if you buy the game. :D

Get the standard game and then buy either Immortal Fire or Decline and Fall. I love both of those the most. Eternal Empires is great too. Really ALL of the modules are very good. The Rise of Rome module is good when non-Roman armies face off ... Rome is king in that module and VERY hard to beat.

It was a coin toss between DaF and IF and i went of Immortal Fire and quite glad i did.A stack of great armies to play around with now.Not working at the moment so purchasing modules will be a slow process but very satisfied now i have one under my belt. It's also opened up the MP now and i can see there's a community now.Fair enough it's all private stuff for the Digital League but good to see that the tumbleweeds gone and there's actually people in there :D
