Slitherine will be at SPIEL 2013 ESSEN

We will again be attending the Internationale Spieltage SPIEL2013, Germany’s annual four-day gamer’s fest which takes place from the 24th to the 27th of October in Essen. This is now an annual pilgrimage for the Group.
The group will showcase its latest releases including Ageod’s Civil War II, Command Modern Air/Naval Operation, Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm and much more!
Wargamers will find:
A special version of the new introductory operational game in the spirit of Panzer General, Germany at War: Barbarossa 1941 fully localized into the German language and released just in time for the event.
Field of Glory: The Card Game, a quick card game inspired by Slitherine’s tabletop miniatures rules. Players select their units for battle by building a deck of 24 cards, then face their opponents across the battlefield. Care must be taken to choose the correct troop balance as each unit has its own specific strengths and weaknesses.
The release of World in Flames will be the main item on our schedule, with the World Premier of the digital version at the show. Only 50 exclusive copies of an Early Access version will be available for a few lucky wargamers. They will be the first on the planet to put their hands on this long-awaited digital version of World in Flames, originally created by Australia Design Group (http://www.a-d-g.com.au). Harry Rowlands the designer of the game will be at the booth Friday afternoon to sign copies of the Game. The game is totally unique and comes as a set of three hardback books enclosing the disc and includes a Ginormous world map. This is a great opportunity that real wargamers simply cannot miss!
