What's the best monitor size for computer wargaming

I've been playing Panzer Corp for about a year now using my laptop with 15.6" LCD screen and 1366x768 resolution. I would like to upgrade and could use advice. If I am going to operate in the "desktop mode", what is the best monitor size? Assume it is 1920x1080 (I can even hook up with an HDMI cable to my laptop to achieve it)

Just as a trial I hooked up our 40" Samsung LCD TV (1080) to my laptop. The experience was not good. Colors seemed very very different than my laptop monitor. Maybe there is a different setting for color I should use when hooked up to the PC.

We also have a 32" Vizio TV (1080)

The local Costco her in California land has a 23" Samsung LED monitor, a 24" Samsung LED TV/monitor, and a 27" Samsung LED monitor, all 1920x1080

My feeling is that the display needs for wargaming are not like other video gaming, so I don't think what the gamer's recommend applies here.

Thanks for the input

I have been using a 27" AOC monitor ( I usually buy Viewsonic but I got it free thru work ) for several months now and once you go big you'll never want to go back!

However, any of the 1920 pixel monitors will give you a larger battlefield and better gaming experience IMHO. Just make sure your laptop is up to it.

Samsung TV's are very bright and a bit washed out, great for sports and TV but probably not the best for gaming, but their monitors are fine.

I use: 27" 2560 x 1440

maximal resolution and a monitor size to see the small fonts (as in the statbase window on the right)

Thanks guys. I bought the 23" 1920x1080 Samsung Monitor. Works fine with my laptop. Decided against the larger monitor unless I was to go higher resolution than the 1920x1080. My laptop graphics card would probably not support. Next computer :D
