New bug?

Hello, had a quick search around on the forums but couldn't see anything.

Purchased BA about a week ago, updated, started a couple of online games (my dog, did I pick the weekend for that or what?), & now I have run into a problem (a problem aside from the unreliable shaky servers).

To whit: Upon starting multiplayer, I receive the notification "You must update to the latest version in order to play online. Please close the game & update from the launcher".

Which is fine, but my launcher offers no patch, instead trying desperately to flog me "Rommel in Normandy".

Has a patch been released? If not, why is my game now (after several turns in a few online games & after patching to 2.3 upon purchase) asking me this?

Sorry if this issue has been mentioned on the forums & apologies for not UTFSE properly if so.

I have exactly the same problem. Is a new update about to come or is something going wrong?

Ditto for me: either "You must update" or "Unable to validate your details." ... Um, guys, this is getting kinda old.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I have taken it upon myself to follow Slitherine's directions in this thread http://www.slitherine.co.uk/forum/viewt ... 46#p427043 & have sent an E-mail to multiplayer@slitherine.co.uk stating my in-game nickname, the time of the problem & my IP address.

I can only hope the issue is somehow related to their servers generally falling apart this last few days & not some new bug...

No problem mate...! Though, hilariously enough, their support E-mail is bouncing.

Which doesn't exactly have me over-brimming with confidence...

Well, humm... to be fair, the game server still have some problems. Loading a game is a very hard issue lately...

The current version number was briefly set incorrectly as a side effect of some of the work being done to resolve the PBEM server issue. There has not been a new client update released. Sorry for the additional inconvenience.

Thanks for that.

I got to load up my turn of one game but when I pressed end turn I was left with a fifteen minute wait to up it back to the server.

I cancelled after seventeen minutes waiting, & then had to ditch the turn. Shall I send a separate E-mail to support regarding this?
