A great weekend in a large well lit venue with good food and bar, free parking, a prize draw for early entrants and a small selection of traders.
This year we offer the following choice of competitions.
DBMM Doubles, 500 points any book 501—1074AD. £25.00 per team
Field Of Glory Ancients Doubles, 900 points any book 501—1149AD.
£25.00 per team
Field Of Glory Renaissance Doubles, 900 points any book, 1630-1698AD
£25.00 per team

Indeed. Our plan is to close our eyes at impact and stick our fingers in our ears. Or roll lots of fives. That's if we're not scampering across those lovely Tibetan mountains.

Well 3 cheers for those chaps showing individuality with their armies...lets celebrate diversity!
And 3 boos for all those competition tigers out there with those samey samey armies..... conformity is just so dull...

Still do not know how we did it. Peter and I are used to being in the bottom half of the results.

Congratulations, I knew as soon as I saw we were up against your Early Hungarian army in our last game we were in for a hiding.......it has been my army of choice for a while now, so I knew we would struggle to deal with it if you played it well. Once you broke through (which you did early on due to a mistake in our deployment) that was gonna be it, we just hoped to take enough points off you to hit 50 points for the weekend, which we did finishing on 50 points exactly I believe!
Well done, it was well deserved.

It seemed to me that you did it by having a good army structure and playing to the army's strengths: controlling the tempo of the game with the skirmishers and getting your strike troops away from hard targets and into soft ones! Well done gents.
