Patching confusion - Help!

So, I have the original panzer corps and allied corps. For my birthday (yesterday), I got afrika korps and the grand campaign mega pack (well, got the mega pack last week, early b-day present). Anyway, the situation here is I don't know what needs patching. There seems to be 2 patches to 1.20. One for Afrika Korps and one for the regular panzer corps game. Do I need both? I had already patched the regular panzer corps game, but when I loaded afrika korps and checked for an update, it said it needed to download the 1.20 exe update (which failed to download multiple times, btw). I understand that there is going to be a patch coming soon for the mega pack which will update it to the new rules. That is good (cant' wait). I also noticed that the afrika korps game does not have new rules available on my game. Do I need to patch it? I guess what I am asking is what needs what patch and is there a specific order I need to patch them in. If someone could reply with directions on what to patch, that would be awesome. thanks!

Panzer Corps - patch to 1.20?
Afrika Korps - patch to 1.20?
Allied Corps - is there a patch?
Mega pack - will I need to patch it (when the patch comes out) before or after the other patches?

Sorry for being an idiot about this patching business, but there are just too many games/patches going on here to sort out. Thanks.

You need one time the Patch 1.2.
The reason for your confusion is that the origanal Africa Corps comes with patchlevel 1.13 (I think so) and Allied Corps as newer with patchlevel 1.2. You wrote you installed first Allied Corps and afterwards Africa Corps. So you quasi "degraded" Allied Corps to patchlevel 1.13 .=(
Now you must patch new to level 1.2.

Greetings

Scotty

Hi Obadiah333,

first happy birthday lately,

the easyiest way is let Panzer Corps do the right thing, you can't mess up something. When you installed the game there is an automatic update function.

have fun

Yep, ScottyTr is right, installing Afrika Korps probably downgraded the rest. Basically, the patches are not separate for the different expansions, you only need to install everything and apply the latest patch, this will patch all the content in one go (that's why it is so large)

Correct order of install would be:

Panzer Corps (1.0x?)
Afrika Korps (1.13)
MegaPack (1.14)
Allied Corps (1.20)

In this order, you shouldn't need to patch it again. But if anything goes wrong, just re-patch with 1.20, which can be downloaded separately, for example from here: http://www.matrixgames.com/products/399/downloads/

Thanks for the quick responses. I'll patch it when I get home tonight. Also, after the patch for the mega pack comes out, will I need to start over to use the new ruleset or will I be able to continue my campaign where I left off? I am in the middle of 1940, so not too far into it yet, wouldn't kill me to start over.

You're welcome. I'm not sure what will happen to existing games when the patch comes out, but I hope it will take only the starting of a new scenario to introduce the new changes (usually the necessary info gets loaded when a new scenario is started). Otherwise you would have to restart the 1940 campaign. BTW, the patch is not just for the MegaPack, some other issues will be fixed as well, although getting the new rules to work with the Grand Campaigns is a big reason of course.
