played my first game in ages last week - and suddenly what I liked about the rules on paper suddenly jumped into reality on the table.
Probably the distinct lack of DBM (or anything else) since I took on a new job.
Ive probably caught up to where I was in DBM already (ie getting badly beaten by Richard Collins at every game)
cant wait for warfare so I can play with the all singing, all dancing (or is that all missile'ing, all impacting, all melee'ing) Lithuanian Light Horse.
Though the Battle Wagons have been retired due to utter pants'ness

From a purely selfish point of view, I'd sooner you discovered this after Warfare
I've not used WWg's. Will they work as a defensive platform on a holding wing?

From what I remember Roger Greenwood did OK with them at the Manchester comp the other week. He was a little hamstrung by an inability to make CMT's to move them though so make sure that you have generals near or ideally with them when you want to move.

my fiendishly cunning plan was to haul them out to the middle of the batlefield and use them as launch pads for my LH and Cav to attack from. Then when they were forced back to them the knights could come out to play.
they didnt really make it out of the starting blocks, even with generals attached, then got hopped up by offensive spearmen.
most frustrating.

It took me about four games to get the Hussites organised into something that was workable. I haven't used them since the Manchester competition but I will cetainly be using them again. The latest Hussite list reduced the minimum number of standard wagons (8 I think). This is probably enough for 800 points.

I think OK is about the right term. They appear to not be as strong as other rules. Last night I had WWG holding the end of my Hungarian line. They got disrupted rather easily. For a while I had them one wide to guard a flank and then failed CMTs like 3 times to expand. Finally did. Then got charged in front and side. They do well in impact but then I got unlucky in melee and died. And when they autobreak...poof.
They actually feel right, which I like. This continues to be the strengths of these rules a LOT of the interactions feel right.
