AI warfare

Playing Terra Salvum (green) on a medium map, I had a long war with the Solar Dinasty (red). I noticed a few things.

Initially I had a tech advantage,in particular airplanes whereas Solar was still mostly Trooper and Recon. He was the aggressor.
The AI did a relatively good job of attacking my cities from various direction, first right head on but afteward it also attempted to bypass my main defense line, by left and right swing, out of my visibilty.
It was also OK at researching flak gun as I had mostly aircraft. So my aircraft dominance lasted only for some time.

However, the AI seems very weak at protecting the units it sends at sea. I was able to kill dozens of transport boats (rather 50 or 100, if it was not the Solar I wonder how it could produce so much units) with my aircraft including some containing heavy mechs, which I could not destroy on land. A stonger air cover or boats escort should be higher priorities when the two enemies are not connected by land, hence water movement is mandatory.

About Artillery: the TerraSalvum having a combat penlty, artillery feeled just right in contrast to my previous comments with factions having a combat bonus.

The AI still build too many low quality units. I had a case where a city power value was around 260, with so many units that the pop up filled all the sreen from top to bottom.

In another game on a small map . Divine Ascension attacked me very early, I was the Solar Dinasty. After an initial setback, soon I was besieging Purple single city, I was surprised to see that the single city contained 4 Colonizers. It seems that the AI build Colonizers while besieged, maybe not the best defensive unit. Even if not besieged building a new Colonizer when the previous has build a city would be more sensible.much later the AI did build some tanks which was much better.
