Two more Alexandrian encounters. HYDASPES.... The Macedonian army has expanded to include more asiatic elements such as horse archers and elephants. In this version of the Hydaspes, Alexander's opponent Poros has at his disposal some of the Assaceni mercenaries who defended Massaga so heroically, as well as elephants, two types of chariot and rathamasula war wagons. Play from 'free deployment' and see whether the phalanx can close with the Pauravans before the indian medium foot can exploit the map terrain!

GABAI.......... An embellishment on a small historical encounter in Sogdiana after Alexander's victory at Gaugamela. Bessos has escaped with the nucleus of an army [Greek mercenaries, Persian imitation hoplites and heavy lancers] and sought aid from the Sogdian leader Spitamenes and the Massagetic Saka. The Macedonians find themselves facing a proto-Sassanid/Parthian army with a lot of mobile firepower!
