Hi!
I can't install russian patch for Commander: Europe at war. I have installed game not to default directory and now, when I trying to run ceaw_russian_v1.04.exe, and point to my installation dir, I get next message "This is an add on installer. The directory you have selected doesn´t contain the target application. Please choose another one".
How I can install patch?

Ditto.
There was another guy complaining about this too. I don't think anyone can install the patch

We're investigating this with Akella. We're not sure what it could be at the moment

If you could give more info, it could all help to remedy the problem. A good example would be the exact paths to which you each installed the game, and where the installer will not now find it.

I have created a directory specially for games, so initially the game was installed in a file called "C:\Games\Commander"
When the patch didn't install, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it to the directory "C:\Program Files\Akella Games\Commander" (in other words, the default choice in the set-up menu). This did not work either.
Finally I installed the game into a directory called "C:\Program Files\Commander - Europe at War", which corresponds to the default choice for the patch. No difference. In each case I received the same error message that has been reported by other users, telling me that the directory in question didn't contain the game.

Akella are suggesting the patch issue may be linked to piracy at the moment.

I have removed the link. I'm not sure what you were trying to show, but links to EXE files on random sites will not be tolerated.

It's the official patch from Akella, available here on the Akella website:
http://ru.akella.com/Files.aspx?mode=patches
Slitherine guys, Akella has published a correct patch for the Russian version and has told its users that the patch on the Slitherine website is not the correct patch. You wonder why they don't bother telling you what they are telling us.
