Ver .20.1 AI----Better

I haven't been able to find the changelog so if I state the obvious......

In previous versions the AI would build a crapload of formers and colonizers even in the mid to late game where they are essentially useless. I didn't see that this time around. What I saw were some units that had advance weaponry from the Mechanization and Transcendant eras. Also the AI seemed to try to soften up a target before landing forces. Maybe that's just the way it turned out, not sure. More playtesting needed to analyze AI behavior.

I also found that the AI was more apt to declare war on me if it had a force advantage and kept pressing as long as it held the advantage.

What the AI still doesn't do well - Orbital Bombardment

What the AI doesn't do at all (at least in none of the 10 or so sessions I have played). - Doesn't use nuclear missiles or Black Hole Weapons.

I did lose this game for the first time in a long string of games to a tech victory.

Game Options:

Medium World, Warm Climate, Archipeligo, Highly Aggressive Xeno, Medium AI opponents, max players.
