GS v3.0 needs a serial number to be installed

I just wanted to tell everybody that GS v3.0 will NOT be compatible with the old Slitherine version of CEAW that didn't have a serial number.
The installer will check for a serial number in the registry and if it can't find one it will ask for the serial number.
So the versions supported will be:
* CEAW for MAC from Freeverse
* MH-CEAW Gold from Slitherine
* MH-CEAW Gold from Matrixgames
Players who have the old Slitherine version can try to install the GS v3.0 upgrade, but it's quite likely it will not work since the installer has some core CEAW files that were made for MH CEAW Gold instead of the old Slitherine version (CEAW 1.04 upgraded to 1.12). We tried in the beta to make these work, but were not able to do so since we don't have access to the content of the old core installer files. It's not made by the guys making the new versions.
In GS v2.1 we had the same issues. Some people managed to get GS v2.1 to work with the old Slitherine version, but many failed. Almost all install issues brought to our attention after release was with the old Slitherine version. Solving the issues is not easy since the users don't have serial numbers and the core installer files are diferent from the new versions.
So you may have to purchase MH-CEAW Gold to obtain a serial number to be able to play GS v3.0 if you're playing an old version without a serial number. You may try to download the upgrade to GS v3.0 and install it in a different folder than the current GS v2.1 and move files over manually. However you may experience a lot of grief with the game not launching due to incompatible Java files. So I don't recommend that.
