My problem with Panzer Corps:
I have always the actual version and I am playing a lot in MP with my brother. We wanted to play Battle in Bocage as a pair game, but if I play allies, then I have the problem, that I cannot field units which I bought. Its just impossible and it seems that some new units are missing.
What can I do??

Hello Eikant, welcome to the forums.
I took a quick look at the scenario with the editor, and there is a bug: The units you can buy in this scenario can only be placed around city flags of their own nationality. But there are no British flags on the map, so you can only deploy American units. So you are limited to purchasing and placing US units only.
There is a setting in the scenario editor, called 'share flags', which makes it possible to deploy at any flag of your own side, but this setting isn't activated for some unknown reason. So thanks for reporting this problem.

There is no bug, this is all intentional from a long time ago. If you want to purchase new Allied units in this scenario, they need to be American units. There is a possible exception to this I'll cover though.
Bocage breakout is modeled roughly on the events of Operation Cobra, with focus on multiplayer balance and entertainment of play. The idea is that those few token British forces on the map fulfill their historical role of keeping Caen pre-occupied, hence Caen not being marked even an objective in the scenario. While that side show plays out, the main focus of the American forces attempting their history break out from Normandy plays out as the theme of the battle.
So in summary, there are British units, but new ones can not be purchased or placed in the scenario unless the player intentionally feeds the British forces a city flag to capture. The main focus of the scenario is the battle between American and German forces in the dense bocage.
This is also why the vast majority of units placed on the map are American Core units, and the token few British units present are marked as auxiliaries for this scenario.

Just to nip this in the bud, Bersaglieri and the Bear has a similar set up.
There are a few German auxiliary units on the map to bolster the Italian defense against the Soviets, but there are no German flags and the shared flag option is turned off. Hence new Germans cannot be purchased, but if the player manages to feed them a city flag, then it is possible for German units to be purchased.
This is very difficult to achieve though, as the Italians are purely on the defensive in this scenario, giving little opportunity to recapture a flag, let alone hold it long enough to purchase new units from in future turns. In fact, the devious way I once achieved this was to totally abandon the North-Western Victory hex, in an attempt to lure a Russian paratrooper assault. It took a few turns of waiting, but eventually I noticed that flag suddenly shifted from Italian to Russian, and then I sprung a trap of my elite German reserves to recapture the city quickly, allowing me to then purchase the vastly superior equipment associated with the German forces over their Italian counterparts.
All working as intended.

OK, thanks Kerensky, good to know in case other people report the same 'issue'. I can just see your flagbaiting technique in action, sounds very funny. I have somtimes used paratroopers and trains (!) for raiding flags, so this would have been a nice counter-move.

So, if the British forces are just a sideline( Bobcage Breakout), why is the FIREFLY A US UNIT when they didn't chose to use it, and can't be replaced, and the Sherman (105) in the west is a tank and not Artillary? Sure could use some Firefly against that TIGER in the south!!!!! And I have yet to take a town with the Brits and buy ANYTHING! If you put them there, let them fight I say!!!
Thanks,

Recently, while playing Bobcage Breakout, the Axis forces deployed a Tiger 2 out of Caen, and with the Panther took out my AMERICAN Firefly( which can not be replaced), drove thru my right flank and drove into the rear of my forces. Without the ability to replace the Brits in this so called token action Around Caen, I see no way for the Americans to fight and win this 2 FRONT action! In the next upgrade I ask that you make the firefly a Brit unit so a city can be taken for replacements, to hold the Caen line as designed, and while your at it fix the Sherman(105) to Artillery. Thanks

My apologies to all, I just figured out that the Sherman(105) can CHANGE from Tank to Artillery!
