making movement faster

Hi, I play this game on max and have the specs to do that. The thing is when i compare this to sc movement i find the game is slow. I was wondering if there was a way to spped things up a bit, not so much as to be lightning fast but more to the point then it is.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

It may not be as fast as SC's execution, but the results are far more pleasing, don't you think?

hmm the results are pleasing and a bit random which is fine. Its just i wish that units would move and get there then do the fine sound animation. I just dont like spending forever watching. I ussually get a book out to read if i play the AI. Also when it comes to replay mode for PBEM games i just ignore it as i find it useless. Either this game improves it or the next game created either way this game is a great first step.

I'm sure no one thinks you're rambling
I am running an AMD 2.2 with a gig of RAM, so not the most cutting edge platform to be sure. Between turns, with highest settings, it takes about 60 seconds give or take. That's not so bad imo. Is yours taking longer?

Not sue how long it takes me. Maybe it was an earlier version like 1.00. I just recently updated to the recent version.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Hard Drive: 300 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT

the system sounds good enough, but it could be some other issue, hard to say. Is performance of anything else sluggish?

i think it was an earlier version, and kinda when it comes to ships more so. I find a bit drawn out but i will live with it.
