CARRHAE REVISITED!

A more interesting "What if?" version of the Battle of Carrhae with the Armenian king Arastvades arriving to relieve Crassus. Can the Parthians keep the allied Roman forces split and defeat them in detail?

Thank you alzado. It looks like an interesting scenario and an improvement over the previous version of Carrhae available. Your what-if concept is well taken for this scenario, imo.

Thanks I don't think there was much joy to be had in the historical version!

I agree. But at least there was joy in the part of the one playing the Romans in that version, as it was almost impossible for the Parthians to win.

Balance between historical accuracy (such as is possible) and game balance is often a difficult proposition.

Especially so in battles with bow armed horse. In reality the Romans could never win with the unlimited retreat-ability of the parthian horse archers [no map edges!]

Lol. Excellent point. That's why the biggest map sizes are needed for horsy-shooty scenarios.
