25mm General basing

Hi,
First time post, long time reader...
The beta rules aim for square basing of commanders so a 25mm general is 60mm x 60mm.
Some 25/28mm models, and here I'm thinking chariots, struggle to fit into that depth, e.g. the normal depth for a chariot is 80mm.
Has anyone play-tested a 25mm game where this was a problem?
Cheers,
Steve

Ok, perhaps I'll reword this as two questions that the authors might respond to:
I was looking at the NKE list where all the commanders are listed as chariots. Problem is that my 25/28mm chariots don't quite fit on a 60mm depth base.
1. Given that the old DBM lists allowed non-chariot generals and that it seems that the commanders base doesn't actual fight per se, how compulsory is the depiction as chariot?
2. Does a commander joining a one base deep BG change the depth of that BG, e.g. he is either fighting in the front rank with the displaced base behind him or he is tacked onto the rear of one of the bases? That is, can a one base deep BG with a commander attached still evade if ns-cav, cam or l-char...
Cheers,
Steve

Commanders bases are simply markers not actual troops and as such do not change the formation or size of a BG. As far as I understand it the size of a commanders base is irrelevant but the 60mm by 60mm limit was put in to prevent people using commanders with huge bases so as to increase the command radius of their generals. I can't see any reason why a 25mm chariot or elephant general should not be on a 60 by 80mm base.

That sums it up.
Essentially, not specifying that 25mm generals in chariots or on elephants can be on 60 x 80 mm bases is an oversight which we will need to correct.
We failed to spot this as our 25mm test games did not include any generals on chariots or elephants.
For the moment I suggest you don't worry about it - this anomaly will be corrected in due course - so base your chariot generals as normal.

Thanks to both of you for that.
RE my comment about generals not changing the formation of a BG - I appreciate as per Hammy's comment how they are treated but with my pedant's hat on I foresaw rule's mongering re the evade restriction among others.
One of the many things I like about FOG to date is the focus on removing ambiguity and loopholes and I just saw generals in back-lines or, more probably, displaced front-line bases as being something that might cause dispute as to the formation of the BG.
I'll be posting a bit more about 25mm shortly as I think it is a scale that gets more attention down here than up there
Cheers,
Steve

Actually, I have to confess that even this excuse does not wash, as I did play a game with my Achaemenid Persian C-in-C in a chariot.
