Can't play invalid cd!

Hi everyone,
I just got this game, brand new. I installed it when I go to play it keeps telling me "Wrong disc inserted.
Please insert the original "Great Battles of Rome" CD/DVD." doe anyone have an answer to this problem?.

Can you tell us the version and publisher you are using. That is the first step to getting you running.
Also, the operating system and other machine specs.

Thanks for responding,
I'm running win w2k service pak 4. P4 3ghz 512mb ram, All in wonder 9600. The publisher is CDV?

Do you have the disk in the drive you installed from?

Yes I think it's the software it seems there are varuious issues with it.

There is nothing special about the copy protection - it just requires the CD in the drive when you are playing. We've not had this problem before. Do you have more than one drive? I'm not sure what to suggest.

Are you running any utilities which emulate CD or DVD functionality?
