Many of you will have seen the recent item by a Telegraph "journalist" suggesting wargaming should be banned. Here's a more positive article from the BBC:

"Like their wife's jewelery"... Most wargamers I know would treat their collection as much more important than the wife's jewelry (if they had a wife that is...)

I have yet to meet too many wargamers who would use any position that they had to START a war. But I did see a lot of wars START during a game! :) :) :)

I was intrigued, and so I looked.

It should be cleared up, that the journalist in question was only comically noting that too much Warhammer leads to a dreadful reduction in your chances of female company. And that was the limit of the commentary and it was actually in no way a dig at wargaming.

And I can actually take my unique stance on wargaming, considering my gender :)

Too much of any hobby is just potentially intrusive and nothing else really. It only becomes important if it intrudes on something that logically should be more important to you than the hobby.

I have too many wargames, but they always whisper of a promise to simulate history in a new unique way.

If I had fewer wargames, I'd likely have a few more of something else. Models, new outfits, accessories, books. There's always something eh :)

But anyway, a simple Google search reveals the author never had any idiotic intent vs our games.
