bases

just a quick question on the above subject i have just got hold of a 6mm samurai army produced by irregular minatures in the rules for HF you are to use 4 per base. irregular minature come in strips of 6 ish. do i cut the strips dowm to 4 or dosen't it really matter how many i use??

I think the most common convention is to use 15mm size bases and then use as many 6mm figures look good on that size base. The main requirement is to base the troops so that different troop types are easy to differentiate, so use fewer figures for LF and LH than for HF/MF and cavalry. Multiple ranks of figures on the base will look good for heavier troops especially.

Grandad I use 10mm all the time and 6mm in the past. I find it best to pick a scale (15mm or 25mm) and pack the figures into the relevant base size and make a small diorama that looks good.

So long as it's obvious HF/MF/Cav/Lh etc it doesnt matter
