Not sure if this has been answered yet...

Will we be able to play the battles as historical scenarios or only with the armies we bring to the field? As nice as it sounds to bring my own elephants to Zama to crush Hannibal, I'd also like the option to face the same situation that Scipio did.

The campaign is a series of around 80-90 linked battles. The men you recruit go with you through the entire campaign so it's up to you who you take to the battle of Zama. You can play head to head battles online where each of you could design an army based on the historical setup if you wanted.
