Fall-In 2013 will be from November 15-17th at the Host in Lancaster PA. I will run two events, a 25mm Early Tourney (Trade and Treachery plus other comparable armies like Aztecs or Tauregs etc) and a 15mm Open, both on Saturday (this is a change). 700 points, 3x 3 hour rounds 9AM, 1:30pm, and 6:30pm. If your not sure your army fits into the Early theme contact me at
nedwich@aol.com (if you don't want to announce it to the world). I look forward to seeing lots of you there!

Just a heads up. Would anyone mind a change to Saturday so that some of our Chicago bretheran can join us?

Yo Jeff, just looking at the Early Spanish Colonials, these guys are not what I expected. Some of their classifications are based (as admitted in the book) on fighting the natives. If you fight Europeans some of these factors would be different. I will email you more offline so people won't get a clear idea what you will be running until the actual tournament.

My Bad, I made a quick Yes to Jeff's query about the Colonial Spanish. That answer is now reversed, I thought they were a P&S army with Indian allies, it turns out that for T&T purposes they are a wall of impact foot swordsmen plus impact foot allies. Better keep them in the rest of the world theme (which you just ran at Cold Wars Jeff!). Now if you have them in 15mm you can run them in the Open.

I also made a mistake in saying Friday is fine. I meant Saturday is fine by me just need to decide soon, so I can plan my games as well.

Just updated the top post to Saturday. Friday if any of you are interested there will probably be some FOG Napoleonics running, nothing firm yet. Nothing to do with FOGR, but many people play several FOGs. Remember 700 points folks. This should mean we might actually end 3 hour rounds with actual wins/losses rather than winning/losing draws.

Besides the usual suspects, are there any lurkers out there thinking of participating?

I have heard from a number of people, but I was hoping people would post here, since a post here will encourage others. In 25mm I have a committed core: Italian States, Maximilian Imperialist, 1513 Scots, and 1590's Irish (I know its late 16th century, but they have no muskets or impact pistols so its OK with me). Want to hear from Chicago and a few others. Any trade and treachery list is OK as long as there are more arquebus than musket and no impact pistol horse.
In 15mm have heard from some other folks, army choices still up in the air (it is Open after all).

I don't see my Spanish made your list. And I think that the Scots are going to be a different year.

I reduced points from the standard 800 to 700 so that each side will have fewer attrition points. This should mean games end sooner. However, would players still like the normal 3.5 hours? listed 3 hours, but I will go with what players want.

Bob S & I are thinking of bringing 25mm, No promises because I have a lot of painting to do in a week, but I would have Italian Wars French about 1525, Bob Caroline Imperial.
I assume this is the Determined Foot Speedway with 40mm MUs?

Just a quick numbers update:
In the 25mm Trade and Treachery:
Solid-Myself, Walt Leach, Kevin Swanson, Jeff Wiltrout
Probable- Mike Kelley
Working on it-Bob Sulentic, Steve Callahan
Dropped out due to work-Mark Huml, Myles Toomey, Simon Babbs (basically a carload from Chicago)
Medical excuse-Jim Tobin can't lift any lead, he just had a bit of his innards removed, but he is recovering now that he can have a Guinness or two and peanut butter.
Unknown-Dan Hazelwood
Not coming-Bruce Herke (Mr. Osprey, but he has provided some prizes!)
15mm-Sketchy info
Dave Guinn, Doug Anderson for sure. Dave Lamb most likely but doesn't use email. Dan Hazelwood might play here instead of 25mm.
Jay Stone from "Joisy" probable.
If there is an odd number in the 25s several players including myself will run 15mm
Please rsvp if you are not on my list or if you are but are unknown or maybees. If you want to come last minute, that's OK too, work and the real world can cause problems, I understand.
See everyone soon.
Bob

Thanks to Bob for running the FOGR tournament(s). Also, thanks to our first timer(s) Bill McCampbel for giving renaissance a go and hope that it was an enjoyable experience.
My understanding is that Bob will be unable to organize the CW tournament(s). It is also my understanding that we only have some reluctant maybes for who will take on that responsibility. I would like to throw my hat into the ring so long as it does not cause some sort of succession crisis.
It is also my understanding that there are various ideas on what these tournaments will look like going forward. I would like to see some discussion on that matter.
Thanks,
Jeff Fletcher
